High-chromium cast iron is the abbreviation of high-chromium white mouth anti-wear cast iron, which is a kind of excellent anti-wear material. It is known for its higher wear resistance than alloy steel and higher toughness and strength than ordinary white mouth cast iron. At the same time, high-chromium cast iron also has good high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, and with convenient production and moderate cost, it is regarded as one of the best anti-wear materials in the contemporary era. High-chromium cast iron generally refers to alloy white mouth cast iron with chromium content ranging from 11% to 30% and carbon content ranging from 2.0% to 3.6%. The wear resistance of high-chromium cast iron mainly depends on its matrix structure and the type and distribution characteristics of carbides. Its matrix structure is mainly austenite, and the carbides are mostly M7C3 type, which has high hardness and gives high-chromium cast iron good wear resistance. In addition, high-chromium cast iron can exert its material potential better at high temperatures, so it is widely used in medium or severely abrasive wear parts such as agricultural machinery, mines, coal powder grinding machines rollers, as well as in mining, cement, power, road construction machinery, refractory materials and other fields.

Alloy steel is a high-strength steel containing multiple alloy elements. It performs well in the field of anti-wear parts. This steel significantly improves its hardness, toughness and wear resistance by adding elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and vanadium. The microstructure of alloy steel is optimized, allowing it to maintain its shape and function in environments with high pressure and friction, extending the service life of anti-wear parts. In addition, alloy steel has good heat treatment responsiveness and can further enhance its surface hardness and wear resistance, making it an ideal material for manufacturing gears, bearings, tools and other industrial anti-wear parts.
