The jaw plate, as the core wear-resistant component of the jaw crusher, directly participates in the material crushing process. High-quality jaw plates can:

Main material
Alloy steel
Alloy steel is enhanced by adding elements such as Cr and Mo to improve its comprehensive performance. Its hardness can reach HB280-400, and it has good weldability and economy. Its bainite structure performs well under medium impact conditions, but has limited resistance to large impacts. It is suitable for the lining plates of the second bin of ball mills and other areas with low requirements for toughness, presenting a prominent cost-performance advantage. Manganese steel
It is a wear-resistant material with unique work-hardening properties. Its initial hardness is approximately HB200-300. When subjected to intense impact, the surface will rapidly harden to above HB500 while maintaining excellent impact toughness (≥150J/cm²). This self-hardening characteristic makes it particularly suitable for high-impact conditions, such as the feed end of a ball mill where steel balls and large chunks of materials are impacted. It is an economical choice that combines wear resistance and impact resistance.
Ultra-high manganese steel
Ultra-high manganese steel (Mn18Cr2) achieves high toughness of 100J/cm² through component optimization and process innovation. Its impact hardness can reach HB600, and its service life is over 50% higher than that of ordinary manganese steel. In large semi-autogenous grinding machines and other equipment that process extremely hard ores, its cost advantage throughout the entire life cycle is significant.
